Few things are more pathetic than a military officer who claims or takes credit for medals he did not earn. The Chicago Sun-Times is reporting that Kerry's records reflect an award that has never been given to anyone. His DD214 shows a "Silver Star with combat V"; unfortunately for John, none of the armed services have ever awarded a "combat V" to a Silver Star for anyone. His record also lists four bronze campaign stars for his Vietnam service medal, which signify service in specific campaigns within the Vietnam war. According to the Navy spokesman cited in the article, "Kerry should only have two campaign stars: one for 'Counteroffensive, Phase VI,' and one for 'Tet69, Counteroffensive.'"

Hey John, did you award the combat V and the additional campaign stars to yourself before or after you threw them onto the White House lawn?
